A.	SMOP is a self service password reset tool. It also allows users to unlock their own accounts and change their passwords via a web interface. SMOP is made for Microsoft Active Directory environments.

Integration into helpdesk web site: SMOP allows a redirection to your helpdesk and since SMOP is a simple virtual directory in IIS, it allows an easy link to add to your intranet or internet portals. Supports multiple domains: Multiple Active Directory domains can be supported very easily in SMOP. Ease of Setup and Ease of Use: SMOP can be set-up and ready to deploy in as little as 30 minutes. SMOP uses industry standard SQL Server database and .NET Framework technologies that make setting up SMOP and using SMOP for users simple. Secure: We have designed in security from the start with SMOP. We encourage you to compare our security features with our competition. Following points are worth noting: User enrollment data is stored in a SQL Server database using 128 bit encryption. SMOP fully supports SSL so that user data can be sent across the network in encrypted format. SMOP Administration pages have controlled access through an Active Directory administrator group. SMOP password resets are done through a SMOP service account that has carefully controlled access and can only be configured through a SMOP Administrator account. Enrollment answers are not cached in IE or Firefox so there is no record of the enrollment data on client machines.
